I had wanted for a long time to write a selection of the best articles about writing On Medium. More than anything, I chose those writings that have inspired me to know or deepen my knowledge of writing or have given me one or more tips to stimulate my creativity and consistency when writing.

I will make the selection in this article of articles that are not very long but very practical and useful.

I’ll start with:

1- The Magic Art of Saying More with Less By Malky McEwan

The essay is excellent on the importance of literary tropes in generating outstanding articles.

The word trope can refer to any figure of speech, theme, image, character, or plot element used often. Any literary device or any specific example can be a trope. The word usually refers to widespread tropes, such as irony, metaphor, juxtaposition, and hyperbole, or themes such as ‘the noble savage’ or ‘the reluctant hero.’ It must be used multiple times to be a ‘trope,’ but it is also possible to talk about something that’s a trope in only one novel or author’s works if it is used many times.
