Neuroscience Of Dopamine: How To Unlock Its Power To Live Better
How To Increase Dopamine And Get The State Of Flow: A Quick Guide
The state of flow is often described as feeling “in the zone.” It is a peak functioning state where we feel our best and can tackle anything that comes our way.
What exactly is this state of flow, and what triggers it? According to psychologists, flow is “the state of mind when people are so engaged in an activity that nothing else seems to matter,” It is characterized by laser focus, single-mindedness, and a sense of effortlessness.
A few key things trigger flow states, one of which is dopamine. Dopamine is a neurotransmitter that helps to regulate focus, attention, and excitement. When we experience novelty, unpredictability, or even awe, dopamine is released, and we enter a flow state. This flow state allows us to see patterns more efficiently and perform at our best.
