It’s better to be late than to jeopardize the trip ahead
It was my first time, my inaugural pilgrimage, and I aspire for it not to be the last. There are stories of those who take this journey countless times, always thirsting for its mystique.
I can only express that this experience is ineffable, a symphony of the senses that must be lived. As time passed, I noticed I was becoming increasingly detached, and as a result, I experienced a deep sense of tranquility that manifested as both mental and spiritual serenity.
The Camino de Santiago is a reunion–with nature, and ultimately, with oneself. To walk the path of Santiago is a privilege, one reserved for the chosen few across the vast expanse of our world. Whether destiny’s whims or our own predetermined decisions guide us, the journey is transformative.
In my case, it took 19 years to answer the call. Truly, this privilege resonates deep within, for such experiences, are rare and profound — an endeavor I recommend, an odyssey that must be undertaken.
