Manchester City, Real Madrid, and Barcelona are my favorites to win the Champions League.
The Champions League is the best soccer tournament in the world, where the leading clubs from all over Europe compete.
This year, FiveThirtyEight predicts that Bayern Munich will win the Champion’s League before the beginning of the tournament. They forecast that the current champion, Real Madrid, is not the favorite to win, despite being the best of all time.
Manchester City is one of the most promising teams in Europe right now, and they have an excellent line-up with players like Erling Haaland, who has scored 12 goals in just eight games. Their coach, Pep Guardiola, is in the top three in the world.
Manchester City and Real Madrid are both favored equally. They are both elite teams with talented players capable of winning any game.
Barcelona will probably fight to win the Champions League this season because they have built one of the best teams in the competition, as they are one of my favorites, and Bayern Munich is less likely to win.
Then I think that Nate Silver’s website predictions are not very reliable this year in the Champions League forecast.
Final thoughts
In the last two years, Manchester City has been close to winning; they have a magnificent coach and a complete and robust list of players.
Real Madrid, the “King of European cups,” can never be ruled out. Already last year proved it by being champion without being a favorite.
And Barcelona FC has risked its financial future to build a luxury payroll, to win it all this season.
