Mrs. Hoffman, the owner of the 17th-floor penthouse, suspected her husband of cheating. She paid Gino to keep an eye out. Gino spied Mr. Hoffman swapping spit with a seriously younger woman. Gino ratted out Mrs. H and swore silence to Mr. H for a boatload of cash. That night, Mr. H had a heart attack and confessed his tryst in a dying declaration. Mrs. H had Gino arrested for extortion. The connected bookies bailed him out so he could resume his repayment plan.
