From the window of the tower I inhabit, life looks different. A world of possibilities comes into focus, and life is full of potential and opportunities. This view is reassuring; it’s a reminder that I have the power to make things happen if I put my mind to it.

Here I look at life like an eagle surveying its domain. I find myself in a warm and comfortable space, which is my home. The world outside the tower is chaotic, wild, and ever-changing, but I feel safe and secure within my walls–my sanctuary.

Since my distant perch is looking out of the window of my tower, I can take in the panorama of life that lies before me. My vision is of a world filled with complexity and beauty, and one which I cannot fully understand. From this high vantage point, I can appreciate how small I truly am — a speck in a vast expanse. Yet, despite its immense size, life’s most outstanding beauty can often be found in its minor details.

Life from this vantage point also allows me to step back and observe without being part of the action. It’s a safe place, as I’m not expected to join in or get too involved with what’s happening around me. From up here, I can conclude the events below without suffering consequences…
