NaPoWriMo Day 15
Farewell Letter
Free from Your Shackles

Just before she left,
Lady Macbeth took care of everything.
She cleared out the pantry of its screeching colors.
Washed the fruit for constipation,
Arranged the black flowers.
And wrote her farewell letter:
Yes,
I’m not coming back
And I know I won’t.
I want you to know
That I loved you
With all my soul
And with all my strength.
You can’t imagine how much.
I tell you only for the last time
Because it seems as if you never knew.
I can’t take it anymore
Your aggression toward me
And your mental tortures.
Don’t look for me,
The restraining order is mandatory.
You can never be near me.
I will take my dog and cat with me,
They hate you too and won’t miss you.
Keep your trophies
Your bitter official ranks,
And your noble titles.
You don’t command me anymore.
Oh, one last thing
Those black flowers are here
To celebrate the demise of our marriage;
So have the satisfaction that
It was either leaving
Or
Avenging myself with arsenic or potassium
But this isn’t my level.
Now I live away from you
And hope that
Now life might finally
Smile upon me,
At last.
