Don’t Let Them Control Your Life
A Poem About Being Scammed By Fake Compliments

Don’t let me confuse myself with morons
That I do not fall in love with that matter
Don’t let me in the void cool,
In the cuddle of the praise people
has a bitter and twisted heart
Don’t let me get confused by the scammers
who tries to take advantage of my charity
Don’t let me get caught up in their pity
And fall for their false promises
Please don’t get me confused by the reprimand
Of those who never forget a mistake
don’t discover me perplexed at the grace
of siren songs of those who only
want to profit from my humanity
Their fake compliments won’t fool me
Or be taken in by their empty words
I won’t be shocked by their cruel scolds
Or bemused by their false fawning
Don’t let me muddle myself with the obstinacy
Of those who never change their low passions
Don’t let me in the indifferent void way
In the embrace of that turbid person,
has the look of a soft but deeply perverted soul
I’ll keep my eyes open and my heart strong
So, I won’t be taken advantage of by cheaters
I’ll remain aware of their true intentions
And continue to give to those really in need
Please don’t get me confused by the reproach
Don’t weaken me stunned in the drunk
please don’t find me perplexed at the mercy
of siren songs of those who only
Want to gain from my omission
Don’t let me get confused by the compliments
some people try to give me
when they’re just trying to scam me
They’ll say anything to get
what they want from me
And I can’t let myself fall for it
