Bruce Willis is one of my favorite action actors, and the Die Hard movie saga is one of my beloved. I loved them for the audacity and dark sense of humor with which the German-born American actor portrayed the New York City cop John McClane.

Then I found out that Bruce Willis’s later movies had an express request from him, in which the scenes where he appeared were filmed only once. I never understood it, and perhaps now that it is known that he has frontotemporal dementia, this circumstance can be explained.

Family Statement

Aphasia, a disorder causing trouble with speech, was initially diagnosed in 67-year-old actor Bruce Willis last spring. However, his family has since revealed that further testing has uncovered the star’s specific diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia, which they are sincerely relieved to have identified his health problem.

They issued this announcement on social media and hoped to raise awareness about the impact of this condition in the future.
